(Gibson City, IL) Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services is delighted to announce the newest addition to their Caring Connections Program, Ms. Cara Niebur, MS, LPC. Cara joins the team as a dedicated therapist, and her wealth of experience and compassionate approach make her a valuable asset to this essential division of the hospital.


Cara's role within Caring Connections is focused on providing group therapy services to patients admitted to the intensive outpatient therapeutic gero-psych program. Her professional journey thus far has been marked by a commitment to supporting individuals through various life stages and challenges. Cara brings with her a strong background as a school counselor for intermediate and junior high students, where she honed her skills in empathetic communication and counseling techniques.


Cara's educational credentials are equally impressive, boasting a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences (Family Services) and an M.S. in Counseling, both earned from Eastern Illinois University. These qualifications, coupled with her experience, make her a well-rounded and knowledgeable therapist who is well-prepared to assist patients in their journey towards improved mental health and well-being.
