Pulaski Memorial Hosts “Walk in the Park”

Updated: Jul 26, 2023

(Winamac, IN) The Senior Care Program at Pulaski Memorial Hospital is hosting a weekly "Walk in the Park" at Winamac Town Park for seniors. The walks are held every Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and are open to all ages and abilities. Bottled water is provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch to eat after the walk. The walks are a great way to get some fresh air and exercise, while also enjoying the company of others. They are also an opportunity for Senior Care staff to discuss mental health challenges with the community.

Mental health is an important issue for seniors, as they are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems. The "Walk in the Park" events provide a forum for Senior Care staff to talk about these issues and offer resources to help seniors manage their mental health.

In addition to the walks, the Senior Care Program also offers a variety of other services, including individual and group therapy, support groups, and educational programs. These services are designed to help seniors improve their mental health and well-being.

The "Walk in the Park" events are a great way for seniors to get involved in their community and connect with others. They are also an opportunity to learn about mental health and get help if needed.

Here are some additional benefits of the "Walk in the Park" events:

  • They can help reduce stress and anxiety.

  • They can improve physical health and fitness.

  • They can boost mood and self-esteem.

  • They can provide an opportunity to socialize and make new friends.

  • They can help seniors feel more connected to their community.
