(Ironwood, MI) Travis Hollenbeck is a Registered Nurse of 22 years and has been the Program Manager for the Senior Wellness Program at Aspirus Ironwood since July of 2021. Travis has enjoyed the challenge of starting a brand new program like this for Aspirus Ironwood stating “Everyone needs support, and I love seeing the transformation that can happen when skills are learned and used to navigate life’s struggles.” He has hospital experience working in inpatient medical surgical units, emergency departments, and ICU step-down units. Additionally, he has held roles as Hospital Nursing Supervisor and Manager of Medical Surgical floors, Obstetrics, Outpatient Infusion, and Oncology Department. Travis was also a travel nurse and spent six years as a nurse in the Michigan Department of Corrections. His certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
Travis enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, and carpentry. He built his home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 2010 and enjoys experiencing the four distinct seasons. Travis has also served in the role of deacon of their church for the past 5 years. He acquired his scuba diving certification, ACA level 3 coastal kayaking certification, and participated in wilderness first responder training. “Living in our community and serving those we live and play with is a real joy! I’m looking forward to growing the Senior Wellness Program through continued support for our local community members” says Hollenbeck.
