(Corydon, IN) Program staff at the Senior Care program at Harrison County Hospital participated in a community event supporting Pride Month. Joe Nelson, program therapist, and Monika Kieslich, Program Director were able to promote the program while socializing with the elderly members of the community at the event and celebrate Pride Month.
This is yet another strong example of effective non-traditional community education efforts to promote the program. By attending and participating in this event the program staff are breaking down the stigma of mental health and providing mental health resources to some of the communities vulnerable populations.
