The Adel-Cook County Chamber of Commerce honored several individuals and businesses for their contributions to the area in 2017. Congratulations to Michael Purvis, CEO of Cook Medical Center in Adel Georgia, named man of the year. “My mom and dad taught me that hometown means something,” he said. "And when you serve people in your hometown, it’s not like you're working. It’s a true blessing to be able to lead and serve,” said Purvis.
