Florida is associated with beaches on Spring Break and glove wearing mice, however a short drive north of Panama City Beach lies an expanse of farming land and close-knit communities. That is where we reside. In the center of Chipley, Florida lies Northwest Florida Community Hospital bringing a multitude of services to a rural neighborhood. One of these services being Senior Enrichment — a helping hand for those who refuse to allow a bump in the road to be the end of their journey. To celebrate the opportunity of being able to provide this service to our local seniors, an open house was held during the emergence of the new season. Supporting us during our showcase and celebrating with us were Karen Fauer and Sherri Shaw. We were also pleased to be joined by our CEO, CNO, new hospital board member, staff, friends, patients, facility representatives, and the beautiful people that make up our local communities. Individuals were even present to inform our senior community of local resources for disabilities and to provide hearing screenings and follow up care as needed. We left with new referrals, emerging contact relationships, future ideas and full bellies. Now, the one question that was continually presented: When will we do this again?
