Paddle for Parkview

Updated: Sep 26, 2022

The 13th Annual Paddle for Parkview returned this year to promote the work of the Parkview Lagrange Foundation. Paddle for Parkview is a community event. The goal of the Paddle for Parkview event each year is to raise funds for various programming and services. This year’s beneficiary was mental health programming. This fund supports patient-related needs in mental health programs at Parkview LaGrange Hospital, including transportation, program needs, equipment, staff training, supplies, and any other materials that support patients.

The funds are primarily raised through sponsorships and event registrations. The funds were raised to support mental health programming because it was identified as a health priority for LaGrange County. With suicide attempts and completions on the rise and more people experiencing anxiety and depression-related health issues, we are taking steps to support each other and promote mental health and well-being in our community.

Participants were able to join the in-person event with lunch and a brief program or choose their own paddle date to take part in canoeing or kayaking a 7 or 13-mile course while taking in the sights of Pigeon River located in Lagrange County, Indiana.

We appreciate UltraGroup for being a sponsor for this event!
