Geriatric Behavioral Services at Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson, Illinois recently said good bye to depression and anxiety with a commemorative balloon release.
Group members attached anonymous goodbye cards to balloons as they watched them float away. The balloons rose and disappeared into the clouds. Patient’s loved it. Many commented that it was like releasing their problems to God. The event was celebrated with a good bye party complete with cake and sparkling grape juice.
