New Beginnings at Livingston Hospital

Celebrating Summer Together

The New Beginnings Senior Behavioral Health Program at Livingston Hospital, Salem, KY, has been busy celebrating summer with clients and community members.

Festivities kicked off with delicious Fourth of July shortcakes, enjoyed by both clients and staff. The sweet treats were a highlight and added to the holiday spirit.

New Beginnings also hosted an educational visit in July at the Crittenden County Senior Center, where attendance reached its highest yet. The session focused on Social Wellness Education, allowing participants to learn and share in a supportive environment.

To keep the summer fun going, clients participated in special activities, including an Ice Cream Social and Summertime Fun gift basket prizes, both of which brought plenty of smiles and laughter. New Beginnings continues to provide care, connection, and meaningful activities that promote both wellness and joy for clients and the community.

In August, the progam enjoyed a wonderful turnout at the Crittenden County Senior Citizen Center for the continuing education series. The group looks forward to each visit.

This session included a discussion on PTSD, a question-and-answer segment, a review of New Beginnings services, and a fun word search puzzle. Lunch with the participants is often shared when time allows, as the ladies warmly extend the invitation.

Attendance was a little slower at the Crittenden and Caldwell County libraries, but the outreach there is expected to grow over time. Patience and persistence will pay off.

Looking ahead, a new client will be welcomed next Monday, and one participant will be graduating. The new admission comes from the Crittenden Senior Center, where a connection has already been established.

Paris Senior Care Hosts

Inspiring Networking Event at Horizon Health

The Paris Senior Care program at Paris Horizon Health Hospital recently hosted a wonderful networking event for several UltraGroup Senior Outpatient programs, bringing together staff and team members for an afternoon of collaboration, learning, and connection.

Attendees enjoyed a wonderful lunch and fellowship before splitting into breakout rooms tailored to their roles. Unit clerks, therapists, and nurses each gathered in their own sessions to share ideas and discuss topics specific to their daily work. Conversations centered around patient care, organization, scheduling, and other key areas that ensure the highest quality of care for patients.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for staff to not only network across departments but also to strengthen teamwork within their own areas of expertise. By exchanging ideas and sharing best practices, participants left feeling energized and equipped with fresh perspectives to bring back to their work.

The Paris Senior Care program is proud to support ongoing professional growth and collaboration among staff. Events like these reaffirm their hospital’s commitment to teamwork and to providing compassionate, high-quality care for the senior community in Paris, IL. Thanks for hosting, Paris Senior Care!
