Holiday Season

The holiday season is fast approaching. This time of year is marketing GOLD!

The weather is changing, the leaves are turning, football is on our TV’s 4 days out of the week and some people have already put up their Christmas lights… This means that the holidays are right around the corner. This time of the year makes coming up with new ideas to promote our services much easier. From Halloween to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, the number of themed marketing activities are countless. Below are a few examples of some things you can do during this upcoming holiday season:

- Partner with Senior facilities (ALFs/SNFs) to do activities at their facility

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Themed lunches/meals

  • Volunteering for Thanksgiving meals

- Host an event focusing on “Dealing with your Family During the Holidays”/Mental Health themed

- Caroling (my grandmother always told me, “Make a joyful sound”… She was not a good singer)

- Present on “How to Create a New Year’s Resolution and Follow-Through With It” for the community

There are so many more things that you could do, but these are just a few things to think about. I look forward to seeing how our programs utilize this upcoming holiday season to promote their programs.
